Sol y Luna Hotel
Sol y Luna has grown from a dream that Franz and Petit had more than 14 years ago: to establish themselves in the Sacred Valley and share their life with others. They wanted to share the abundance of the valley with their visitors and the benefits of this activity with their neighbors.
Sol & Luna now has a team of more than 100 employees. We use local products and offer work to the inhabitants of the valley. We know that the only way we can grow is by having respect for and living in harmony with our environment and local culture.
Sol & Luna is connected by paved road to Cusco and to all the archeological sites in the Sacred Valley. From Cusco, there are two ways to get to Sol & Luna: the Cusco-Pisac-Urubamba route, which is 72 km (45 miles) and runs through the entire Sacred Valley, and the Cusco-Chinchero-Urubamba route, which is 56 km (35 miles) and crosses the mountains, offering spectacular views. The two roads converge at the town of Urubamba and continue on to Ollantaytambo. Sol y Luna is at kilometer 74 on the Cusco-Pisac-Urubamba route.
Muyus Casitas: The Sacred Valley has given us the materials to build: adobe bricks, logs and stones.
The constructions they create live in harmony with the flowers that bloom all year round, the lively birds and the endless blue sky, which will inspire you at every new dawn.
In Sol & Luna’s gardens, the sun will energize you, as the watchful mountains invite you to explore their bewitching landscapes.
By the light of the moon and the twinkle of the stars, the bungalows welcome you to their warm hearths. There, surrounded by colorful, joyful Peruvian art, you will dream of a new day.
Casitas de Lujo: Over nearly 10 years of excellent work, we at Sol & Luna have been improving our quality of service, developing our work ethic, and welcoming our guests with warmth, soul and understanding. We know our visitors’ needs and are committed to providing them with maximum comfort, exclusivity and quality of experience.
All guests in the new luxury suites will also enjoy a personalized service, with a private reception and preferred access to Sol & Luna’s different facilities. These include its exclusive Spa, Killa Wasi restaurant and all the offerings at Wayra: the wine cellar, the Chef’s Table, the stables and all open-air activities.
Restaurant and Bar (Killawuasi)
Killa Wasi (the House of the Moon) and Chicha Wasi (the House of Chicha, the valley’s ancient drink) invite all our guests to join in their ongoing conversation with the Andes. These mountains have not only provided Sol & Luna with building materials, but have also given us their fruit, vegetables and herbs, all grown in organic gardens. We use them in every dish and drink offered in our menu.
From harvesting the produce to carefully preparing the dishes, we at Sol & Luna pay attention to even the smallest detail. Our cuisine represents an artistic creation by our chefs, Nacho Selis and Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, who offer a different menu for each season.
Chicha Wasi is a cozy lounge bar that offers cocktails prepared with exotic and native fruit. These drinks invite friendly conversation and enhance pleasant, lighthearted moments.
At Sol & Luna, the satisfaction of our guests is our top priority. Our exclusive Spa, Yacu Wasi, has been carefully designed so as to provide professional treatments to pamper your body and mind.
- If you balance the energies collected during a day in the Sacred Valley and indulge your body, you will find the equilibrium that will make your visit unforgettable: exciting, beautiful and satisfying.
We have worked with nature for nearly 10 years, and the earth has done us the honor of making our garden flourish.
Our guests are not the only ones who enjoy this gift. There are more than 35 varieties of birds that have made Sol & Luna their habitat and share each day with us in this enchanting place of peace and harmony. The Sol & Luna bungalows are first row seats from which to observe this paradise.
